Chisopani Nagarkot Trek is the shortest and easiest trek around Kathmandu which offers a beautiful panoramic mountain view this trek is all around the year also possible even in monsoon and winter.
A short and easy Nagarkot trek doesn’t require any kind of fitness or age. It means young kids, family, and old peoples doesn’t matter. During the Nagarkot trek, you can familiar with the culture of different ethnic people such as Tamang, Chhetri, and Brahmin. In this trek, while walking on the beautiful trail you will be rewarded with a stunning glimpse of the superb mountain views, beautiful landscapes, romantic views of Kathmandu valley, rivers, green hills, and typical Nepalese villages.

The starting point of the Nagarkot trek is Budhanilkantha temple which is the holy temple of Hindu people and the nearest trek in Kathmandu. From Budhanilkantha you will slowly ascend to Shivapuri hill through the forest trail of Shivapuri national park. On this journey, you may get a chance different kinds of animals and different species of birds.

Shivapuri hill offers superb views of several white-capped beautiful peaks. You will continue to Chisapani by following the watershed trail of Shivapuri national park. Chisapani is a culturally important place where you can know and experience the Tamang culture. From Chisapani through the beautiful hilly trail with beautiful natural scenery, you will reach Nagarkot. Nagarkot is naturally a very beautiful place that offers magnificent views of beautiful mountains such as the Annapurna Ranges, Manaslu mountain ranges, Ganesh Himal ranges, Langtang ranges, Dorje Lakpa, Melung-Tse, Gaurishanker, Furi Cha-Chui, Lhotse, Everest, and many more mountains panorama.

Moreover, in Nagarkot, you can see the romantic views of sunrise and sunset and a beautiful picture of Kathmandu valley. Nagarkot is a naturally rewarded place where you want to spend more time by involving in different natural activities. 3 Days Nagarkot Trek Itinerary

Day 01: Drive by private car o Sundarijal and then trek to Chisopani for 5/6 hours stay overnight at Hotel Dorje Lakpa
Day 02: Trek to Nagarkot, 6/7 hours stay overnight at Hotel View Point
Day 03: Trek to Changunarayan and then drive back to Kathmandu by private car

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Short Drive to Sundarijal 1 hour, and Trek to Chisapani

Short Drive to Sundarijal 1 hour, and Trek to Chisapani (1915 mtr. 4/5 hours walking) overnight at Hotel Dorje Lakpa.

Day 02: Trek to Nagarkot

Take breakfast and Trek to Nagarkot (2195 mtr. 6/7 hours walking) stay overnight at Hotel View Point

Day 03: Trek to Changunarayan

Take breakfast and Trek to Changunarayan (3/4 hours walking) and drive back to Kathmandu by car

Poon hill trek May 2023 From the very beginning of our communication Mr. Simbir was helpful and responsive. He managed to resolve some unexpected issues after our arrival in Nepal and organized a great private trip for us. The choice of lodges always allowed us to have the best views. Our guide Sobit Tamang and porter Jovan Gurung were extremely friendly. Although both guys are still young, they are very strong, attentive and client-oriented. We do recommend Himalaya View Treks for those who wish to travel in the mountains of Nepal.

Best Porter/Guide EVER! My Guide/Porter was the best!This company provided me with a memorable and successful trekking experience to Annapurna Base Camp all thanks to my Guide/Porter Rahul Tamang. He was funny and communicative and tried to get the best tea lodges for me. He was very understanding and walked at my pace which is slow. He never pushed me and was always patient which I believe was key to my successful accent. Friendships were made on the trip. Every leg of the trek was a different beauty. I highly recommend the Rahul and the company which provided him.

Best Manaslu Trek Ever! Great company! Responsive, best price, and I finally found a guide who can keep up with me! Simbir was excellent and understanding with the arranging even though my airline lost my bag. I said I wanted to go fast and he set me up with super-powered guide Sobit and we had the most outstanding trek around Manaslu. I usually don’t prefer going with a guide but it’s mandatory nowadays, so if you are like me and want to travel on your own in Nepal, this is the best way to do it. Everest Base Camp from Shivalaya Big thanks to Simbir for organising our big walk at short notice. eCommunication excellent before we arrived in Nepal. Despite long delays at the airport he and the team were there to meet us and brief at hotel. The plan was long walk in to EBC, then Kala Pattar and Island Peak. Simbir arranged for us to be guided by DB, a very experienced and competent registered guide and for portering by Man. Both excellent. The walk, scenery and company on the way were fantastic.I contracted a respiratory infection and subsequently altitude sickness. Simbir and DB spotted the difficulties quickly and made complex arrangements for evacuation and hospitalisation. Thank you. They also ensured my companion was accommodated comfortably in Kathmandu. I would highly recommend this company for their competence and experience. When we return to see more of Nepal, we'll be in touch. Thanks Simbir, DB and Man.

Mr. Simbir from Himalaya View provided us (me 63 and my wife 61) a porter cum guide from Lukla on the EBC trek in March and April 2022. We successfully completed the trek, everything went without the slightest problems, the negotiations were simple and the agency absolutely reliable . Our porter cum guide Yuba Raj carried our 15 kg backpack, reliably guided us through the entire two-week trek and solved all our worries with accommodation, meals and itinerary. We became very fond of Yuba.Highly recommended.

It was awesome experience with Himalaya view Treks, when we travelled to Nepal for Trekking to EBC and next year Annapurna Circuit. Everything was great with Himalaya View Treks (Simbir ji) and we would gladly choose his company again. We had hired Dewan ji as our Porter-cum-guide from Lukla for our EBC trek and we had an excellent 12 days with him and enjoyed our trek thoroughly. He was very competent and caring and we also made him practice his Hindi a lot ;) Made friends with both of them and this trek was surely a memorable experience. Great company who offers the possibility of hiring a porter guide, who is a figure between a porter and a guide, a very good option if you are traveling on a budget! Our guide (Iman) was excellent, very professional, flexible with the route and managed everyday to get accommodation even if we were in high season. Communication before the trek was also good via whats app, they did all permits for us and we picked them up at our arrival. We would highly recommend this company!
