On this trek you will pass through a beautiful rhododendron forest and beautiful landscapes that will please your eyes and take your heart. This trek’s highest point, Poonhill, is 3210 meters tall. Views of several beautiful mountains can be seen from Poon hill. such as Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Annapurna I (8091m.), Machhapuchhare (6998m.), Nilgiri (7041m.), Annapurna south (7219m.), Annapurna II (7939m.), Annapurna III (7555m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Lamjung Himal (6988m.), Hiunchuli (6441m.) and Tukuche peak (6920m.).
Poonhill also offers romantic sunrise and sunset views. Walking through the beautiful Rhododendron forest, you’ll see a variety of birds and animals. The trek route passes several villages of diverse ethnic groups, thus contributing to its cultural importance as well. From Nayapul, you will reach the Poon hill by going through the Tikhedunga and Ghorepani trails, where you can experience different cultures and festivals.

There are different ethnic groups such as Gurung, Magar, and Chhetri. There are stone roof houses with Gurung cultural decor in Ghorepani, a typical magar village. Furthermore, you will see typical Gurung culture in this village, such as the uniforms, songs, and dances. Poon Hill offers breathtaking views of sunrises and sunsets, as well as stunning peaks.
You can reach Ghandruk via Tadapani from Poonhill. Ghandruk is also the most famous Gurung village with very rich culture and festivals. Each night, in this village, there is a festival of singing and dancing in the Gurung style. The village of Ghandruk is at the lap of hills with white mountains on the backdrop.
