ABC via Ghorepani Poon Hill – 10 Days

Himalaya View Treks offers guided Annapurna Base Camp trekking with experienced local guides and porters, comfortable lodge accommodation, transportation, and support throughout the trek. We can also customize the itinerary if you would like a longer or shorter experience in the Annapurna region.

Trail Length

The total trekking distance depends on the exact route and starting and ending points. Your 7-day itinerary begins with a drive from Pokhara to Ghandruk Phedi and ends at Jhinu Danda before driving back to Pokhara.

The trail includes a combination of uphill and downhill sections, stone steps, forest trails, rocky terrain, and uneven paths. Some days involve several hours of walking, so a reasonable level of fitness and preparation is recommended.

Rather than focusing only on the total distance, trekkers should be prepared for changes in altitude and terrain throughout the journey.

Altitude Sickness

Altitude sickness is an important consideration on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek because the highest point of the journey is Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 m.

Although many trekkers complete the trek safely, altitude-related illness can affect anyone, regardless of age or fitness level. The risk increases as you gain altitude, so it is important to maintain a comfortable walking pace, stay hydrated, get enough rest, and inform your guide immediately if you develop symptoms such as headache, dizziness, nausea, unusual tiredness, or difficulty breathing.

Our itinerary is designed to allow trekkers to gradually gain altitude while following a practical walking schedule. Your guide will monitor your condition throughout the trek and can adjust the itinerary if necessary for safety.

Weather & Climatic Conditions

Weather in the Annapurna region can change quickly, particularly at higher elevations. Lower areas can be relatively warm during the daytime, while temperatures become much colder as you approach Machhapuchhre Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp.

Cloud, rain, wind, snow, and changing visibility are possible depending on the season and altitude. Even during the best trekking seasons, mountain weather can change unexpectedly.

Our guides monitor local conditions during the trek and will make appropriate decisions based on weather, trail conditions, and the safety of the group.

Trekking Preparation

You do not need previous mountaineering or climbing experience for the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, but good physical preparation will make the trek more comfortable.

Start preparing several weeks before your trip by doing regular walking, hiking, jogging, cycling, or other cardiovascular exercises. You can also include strength exercises such as squats, lunges, planks, and step-ups to strengthen your legs and core.

Try to include some uphill and downhill walking in your training because the ABC trail contains many stone steps and elevation changes.

Good preparation, comfortable trekking shoes, appropriate clothing, and a suitable pace will help you enjoy the trek more comfortably.

EBC Trek: April 2026 In April 2026, we did the 11 day Everest Base Camp trek with Himalaya View Treks. We were a group of two with Ram as our guide and Santos as porter - a pair of absolute legends! From the first email enquiry, Simbir of Himalaya View Treks was responsive and helpful and we couldn't have had a better trip. If you're going around in circles trying to decide who to book your EBC trek with (like I was), look no further. We're already thinking about our next trip and when we're back in Nepal, we wouldn't hesitate to go with the same team.

Everest base camp with island peak I completed the Everest Base Camp trek and Island Peak climb with my dad, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything went incredibly smoothly thanks to the excellent planning and organisation from Simbar. Our guide Sobit and porter Jhalak were outstanding both extremely welcoming, supportive and professional throughout the trip. We genuinely felt they made the whole experience what it was and without them we honestly wouldn’t have made it. I would highly recommend both the company and especially our guide and porter to anyone considering this adventure.

Annapurna Circuit Trek 2026 My wife and I went trekking on the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal from April 2–15, 2026. We used the services of Himalaya View Treks, and our guide was Jiban. During our trek, we encountered unexpected heavy snowfall, which made the journey much more challenging. However, Jiban constantly monitored the weather and assessed risks to adjust our plan, prioritizing our safety at all times. Thanks to his expertise, we successfully and safely crossed the Thorong La Pass. Throughout the trip, he took excellent care of us and provided honest, straightforward advice. If you are planning a trek in Nepal, I highly recommend consulting with the team at Himalaya View Treks. I hope you have as wonderful an experience as we did.

We had an amazing experience! We would really recommend Himalaya View Treks! We did the EBC trek. From the moment we booked, we had excellent communication with Simbir, who provided us with all the information we needed. He always replied quickly. Unfortunately, we had to postpone the trek by a few weeks due to the war in the Middle East, but this was no problem at all. The trek was rescheduled without any issues. We had Suraj as our guide for the trek and were very happy with him. During the hike, Suraj arranged everything for us and made sure we could fully focus on the trek itself. He was constantly looking after our well-being and ensured we didn’t have to worry about anything. He also knew a lot about the area and the mountains. We can’t recommend him enough and would definitely want him as our guide again if we ever return to Nepal. On top of that, he’s really good at cards and chess. And he’s also good at taking pictures!

EBC Solo Trek (26 yo female) Just finished the EBC Trek and can’t say enough good things about Himalaya View Treks and my guide, Sujan. From the moment I booked the trip, the team was extremely responsive, communicative, and professional—I felt supported every step of the way before I even arrived in Nepal. A huge shoutout to my guide, Sujan—I absolutely loved him. He made the entire experience. He handled everything on the trek seamlessly, from meals to accommodations, so I could fully focus on the journey. He was attentive, organized, and genuinely cared about making sure I was safe, comfortable, and enjoying the experience. Completing the trek in 8 days was a huge accomplishment, and I truly credit Sujan and the team for making that possible while still ensuring everything was done safely and efficiently. Overall, the company is extremely well-managed, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering the Everest Base Camp trek—couldn’t have asked for a better team.

Excellent I just completed the 10-day Annapurna Base Camp trek with Anil as my guide, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation I had going in. From day one, Anil's professionalism set the tone for the entire trip. He was always well-prepared, punctual, and clearly prioritised our safety at every stage of the trek — whether it was pacing us correctly for acclimatisation, making smart calls on the trail, or ensuring we were well-rested before the harder days. You could tell this wasn't just a job for him; he genuinely cared about getting us to base camp and back safely. What really impressed me was how calm and composed he remained throughout. That kind of quiet confidence is exactly what you want when you're days into a mountain trek and pushing your limits. I never once felt uncertain about the route or our wellbeing. The trek itself — the rhododendron forests, the mountain villages, the jaw-dropping views of Machapuchare and the Annapurna massif — was breathtaking. But having Anil alongside made it a truly special experience rather than just a physical challenge. If you're considering the ABC trek, book with Anil without hesitation. You're in safe, capable hands.

We did the langtang valley trek with this agency. It was an amazing experience. We just showed up to their office and were taken care of right away. Our guide Suraj was AMAZING. I can’t recommend him enough. He made sure that we were comfortable at all moments of the trek, and he gave us so many informations on the region and answered every questions we had. When I come back to Nepal, i will ask for him again for sure.

My EBC trek was an amazing experience! Everything was very well organized, and my female guide Samikshya took great care of me throughout the journey. Even when things didn’t go exactly as planned, she handled every situation very professionally and with a positive attitude. I always felt safe and supported. The company leader Simbir Ghale was always available and found a solution for everything. I highly recommend trekking with her and with the company — a truly great experience!

I completed an unforgettable 11-day trek to Poon Hill and Annapurna Base Camp with Himalaya View Treks, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The company was incredibly flexible and well-organized, tailoring the trip to our preferences and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Our guide Suraj kept us motivated and informed throughout, while our porter Anil was always cheerful and helpful — both were fantastic. Special thanks to Simbir for coordinating everything so efficiently and making the whole journey seamless. The stunning views, rich culture, and the team’s support made this adventure truly memorable. Highly recommended!

The 12-day EBC trek with this agency was awesome, the manager was very attentive since the first contact and explained every question with detail. During the trek my guide Anil was excellent, he knows the mountains very well and helps you whenever you need something.
