Champadevi hill day hike is in the southern part of Kathmandu city. Champadevi hill is a very ideal hill for one day hiking around the Kathmandu valley. There are two options to reach to Champadevi hill summit. You can either go from the Pharping or direct climb from the MachheGaon. Pharping is on the way to Dakshinkali temple which is the one of the holiest temple of Hindu followers. It is the temple of goddess kali. Therefore, you can decide to climb Champadevi hill from Pharping side after visiting the temple.

Pharping itself is one typical village of Newar ethnic people so you can see and experience Newari people’s way of life and culture in Pharping. There is also one Buddhist monastery in Pharping you can also visit that monastery before climbing the Champadevi hill. If you hurry and want short and direct ascend to Champadevi hill summit you can ascend through MachheGaon from there you can reach to Champadevi hill summit within three hours. This route is narrow and very difficult to ascend especially in the summer season. There is the sacred statue of Champadevi mai on the top of Champadevi hill.

In Baishakh 1st of every year, great festivals are held on this hill. Champadevi day hike offers a beautiful view of the whole Kathmandu valley and a stunning glimpse of beautiful mountains such as champaGaurishanker, Langtang range, and Dorje Lakpa. There are no shops and human settlements on the top of this hill so it is wise to carry water, umbrella and some fast foods items yourself during this hiking. After enjoying on the top of Champadevi hill you will descend easily down to the Champadevi hill. From Champadevi hill you will go to Kirtipur which is the typical and historical Newari town of Nepal. After visiting the kirtipur you will finally return to Kathmandu by bus.

Poon hill trek May 2023 From the very beginning of our communication Mr. Simbir was helpful and responsive. He managed to resolve some unexpected issues after our arrival in Nepal and organized a great private trip for us. The choice of lodges always allowed us to have the best views. Our guide Sobit Tamang and porter Jovan Gurung were extremely friendly. Although both guys are still young, they are very strong, attentive and client-oriented. Best Porter/Guide EVER! My Guide/Porter was the best!This company provided me with a memorable and successful trekking experience to Annapurna Base Camp all thanks to my Guide/Porter Rahul Tamang. He was funny and communicative and tried to get the best tea lodges for me. He was very understanding and walked at my pace which is slow. He never pushed me and was always patient which I believe was key to my successful accent. Friendships were made on the trip. Every leg of the trek was a different beauty. Best Manaslu Trek Ever! Great company! Responsive, best price, and I finally found a guide who can keep up with me! Simbir was excellent and understanding with the arranging even though my airline lost my bag. I said I wanted to go fast and he set me up with super-powered guide Sobit and we had the most outstanding trek around Manaslu. I usually don’t prefer going with a guide but it’s mandatory nowadays, so if you are like me and want to travel on your own in Nepal, this is the best way to do it. Everest Base Camp from Shivalaya Big thanks to Simbir for organising our big walk at short notice. eCommunication excellent before we arrived in Nepal. Despite long delays at the airport he and the team were there to meet us and brief at hotel. The plan was long walk in to EBC, then Kala Pattar and Island Peak. Simbir arranged for us to be guided by DB, a very experienced and competent registered guide and for portering by Man. Both excellent. The walk, scenery and company on the way were fantastic.I contracted a respiratory infection and subsequently altitude sickness. Simbir and DB spotted the difficulties quickly and made complex arrangements for evacuation and hospitalisation. Thank you. They also ensured my companion was accommodated comfortably in Kathmandu. I would highly recommend this company for their competence and experience. When we return to see more of Nepal, we'll be in touch. Thanks Simbir, DB and Man.

Mr. Simbir from Himalaya View provided us (me 63 and my wife 61) a porter cum guide from Lukla on the EBC trek in March and April 2022. We successfully completed the trek, everything went without the slightest problems, the negotiations were simple and the agency absolutely reliable . Our porter cum guide Yuba Raj carried our 15 kg backpack, reliably guided us through the entire two-week trek and solved all our worries with accommodation, meals and itinerary. It was awesome experience with Himalaya view Treks, when we travelled to Nepal for Trekking to EBC and next year Annapurna Circuit. Everything was great with Himalaya View Treks (Simbir ji) and we would gladly choose his company again. We had hired Dewan ji as our Porter-cum-guide from Lukla for our EBC trek and we had an excellent 12 days with him and enjoyed our trek thoroughly. He was very competent and caring and we also made him practice his Hindi a lot ;) Made friends with both of them and this trek was surely a memorable experience. Great company who offers the possibility of hiring a porter guide, who is a figure between a porter and a guide, a very good option if you are traveling on a budget! Our guide (Iman) was excellent, very professional, flexible with the route and managed everyday to get accommodation even if we were in high season. Communication before the trek was also good via whats app, they did all permits for us and we picked them up at our arrival. We would highly recommend this company!
