Annapurna Panorama View Trek – 5 Days

The Annapurna Panorama View Trek is one of Nepal’s most rewarding short trekking adventures. Also known as the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, this 5-day journey combines spectacular Himalayan views, vibrant rhododendron forests, and traditional Gurung and Magar villages. It also offers comfortable tea house accommodation. If you have limited time but want to experience the beauty of the Annapurna region, this trek offers the perfect balance of nature, culture, and mountain scenery.

Starting from Pokhara, the trail leads through charming villages, terraced farmlands, waterfalls, and dense forests before reaching the famous viewpoint of Poon Hill (3,210 m). From the summit, trekkers witness one of Nepal’s most breathtaking sunrise panoramas over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. Along the way, you’ll also visit the beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk. This village is known for its traditional stone houses, rich culture, and warm hospitality.

Whether you are a beginner, a family, or an experienced trekker looking for a short Himalayan escape, the Annapurna Panorama view Trek delivers unforgettable mountain experiences in just five days.

Why Choose the Annapurna Panorama Trek?

The Annapurna Panorama Trek offers everything that makes trekking in Nepal special without requiring a long itinerary or high-altitude experience. The trail remains well maintained, the daily walking distances are moderate, and comfortable tea houses welcome trekkers throughout the journey.

Unlike longer Himalayan expeditions, this trek allows you to experience spectacular mountain scenery within a few days. The route passes through lush rhododendron and oak forests, peaceful streams, and traditional villages while providing magnificent views of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, and many surrounding peaks.

Because the maximum elevation reaches only 3,210 meters, most trekkers complete the route comfortably without significant altitude concerns.

Sunrise from Poon Hill

The highlight of the Annapurna Panorama  view Trek is the early morning hike to Poon Hill, one of Nepal’s most famous viewpoints. Before sunrise, trekkers climb to the summit and watch the first golden rays illuminate the snow-covered Himalayan peaks.

As daylight spreads across the mountains, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, and Lamjung Himal glow in brilliant shades of gold and orange. The panoramic views extend across both the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, creating one of the finest mountain sunrise experiences in Nepal.

During spring, blooming rhododendron forests make the journey even more colorful, while autumn provides exceptionally clear skies and excellent visibility.

Culture and Natural Beauty

Beyond mountain scenery, the Annapurna Panorama View Trek offers an authentic cultural experience. The trail passes through traditional Gurung and Magar villages. In these villages, local families welcome trekkers into comfortable tea houses.

One of the trek’s highlights is Ghandruk, one of Nepal’s best-known Gurung villages. Visitors can explore narrow stone-paved streets, traditional homes, local museums, and ancient temples. They can also learn about the customs and lifestyle of the mountain communities.

The Annapurna Conservation Area also protects diverse wildlife and vegetation. During spring, forests bloom with colorful rhododendrons, magnolias, orchids, and many Himalayan wildflowers, creating unforgettable landscapes for photographers and nature lovers.

Best Time for the Annapurna Panorama View  Trek

The best seasons for the Annapurna Panorama Trek are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November).

Spring transforms the forests into a colorful paradise with blooming rhododendrons, pleasant temperatures, and clear mountain views. In contrast, autumn offers stable weather, crisp air, and outstanding visibility after the monsoon season.

Winter trekking is also possible for travelers who don’t mind colder temperatures, while the monsoon season brings lush green landscapes but occasional rain and limited mountain views.

Everest View Short Trek

If you have already completed the Annapurna Panorama Trek and wish to explore another famous Himalayan region, the Everest View Short Trek makes an excellent choice. This short Everest adventure introduces trekkers to Sherpa culture and ancient monasteries. In addition, trekkers will see breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Thamserku without trekking all the way to Everest Base Camp. It is perfect for travelers seeking spectacular Himalayan scenery within a limited timeframe.

Classic Annapurna Base Camp Trek

For trekkers looking to continue their adventure in the Annapurna region, the Classic Annapurna Base Camp Trek offers an unforgettable journey into the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary. The route follows beautiful forests, waterfalls, traditional villages, and glacier valleys before reaching Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 meters. If the Annapurna Panorama Trek leaves you wanting more mountain scenery, this classic trek provides an even deeper Himalayan experience.

Classic Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

The Classic Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek remains one of Nepal’s most popular short trekking routes. It follows the famous trail through Ulleri, Ghorepani, Poon Hill, Tadapani, and Ghandruk. The trek offers incredible sunrise views and colorful rhododendron forests during spring. Furthermore, its moderate difficulty, comfortable lodges, and rewarding mountain scenery make it ideal for beginners, couples, and solo travelers alike.

Poon Hill Family Trek

Families looking for a safe and enjoyable Himalayan adventure should consider the Poon Hill Family Trek. The well-established trail, shorter walking days, and comfortable tea houses make it suitable for children and older travelers. Along the route, families enjoy beautiful forests, friendly villages, stunning mountain panoramas, and memorable sunrises from Poon Hill. It is one of the best family-friendly trekking holidays in Nepal.

EBC Trek: April 2026 In April 2026, we did the 11 day Everest Base Camp trek with Himalaya View Treks. We were a group of two with Ram as our guide and Santos as porter - a pair of absolute legends! From the first email enquiry, Simbir of Himalaya View Treks was responsive and helpful and we couldn't have had a better trip. If you're going around in circles trying to decide who to book your EBC trek with (like I was), look no further. We're already thinking about our next trip and when we're back in Nepal, we wouldn't hesitate to go with the same team.

Everest base camp with island peak I completed the Everest Base Camp trek and Island Peak climb with my dad, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything went incredibly smoothly thanks to the excellent planning and organisation from Simbar. Our guide Sobit and porter Jhalak were outstanding both extremely welcoming, supportive and professional throughout the trip. We genuinely felt they made the whole experience what it was and without them we honestly wouldn’t have made it. I would highly recommend both the company and especially our guide and porter to anyone considering this adventure.

Annapurna Circuit Trek 2026 My wife and I went trekking on the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal from April 2–15, 2026. We used the services of Himalaya View Treks, and our guide was Jiban. During our trek, we encountered unexpected heavy snowfall, which made the journey much more challenging. However, Jiban constantly monitored the weather and assessed risks to adjust our plan, prioritizing our safety at all times. Thanks to his expertise, we successfully and safely crossed the Thorong La Pass. Throughout the trip, he took excellent care of us and provided honest, straightforward advice. If you are planning a trek in Nepal, I highly recommend consulting with the team at Himalaya View Treks. I hope you have as wonderful an experience as we did.

We had an amazing experience! We would really recommend Himalaya View Treks! We did the EBC trek. From the moment we booked, we had excellent communication with Simbir, who provided us with all the information we needed. He always replied quickly. Unfortunately, we had to postpone the trek by a few weeks due to the war in the Middle East, but this was no problem at all. The trek was rescheduled without any issues. We had Suraj as our guide for the trek and were very happy with him. During the hike, Suraj arranged everything for us and made sure we could fully focus on the trek itself. He was constantly looking after our well-being and ensured we didn’t have to worry about anything. He also knew a lot about the area and the mountains. We can’t recommend him enough and would definitely want him as our guide again if we ever return to Nepal. On top of that, he’s really good at cards and chess. And he’s also good at taking pictures!

EBC Solo Trek (26 yo female) Just finished the EBC Trek and can’t say enough good things about Himalaya View Treks and my guide, Sujan. From the moment I booked the trip, the team was extremely responsive, communicative, and professional—I felt supported every step of the way before I even arrived in Nepal. A huge shoutout to my guide, Sujan—I absolutely loved him. He made the entire experience. He handled everything on the trek seamlessly, from meals to accommodations, so I could fully focus on the journey. He was attentive, organized, and genuinely cared about making sure I was safe, comfortable, and enjoying the experience. Completing the trek in 8 days was a huge accomplishment, and I truly credit Sujan and the team for making that possible while still ensuring everything was done safely and efficiently. Overall, the company is extremely well-managed, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering the Everest Base Camp trek—couldn’t have asked for a better team.

Excellent I just completed the 10-day Annapurna Base Camp trek with Anil as my guide, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation I had going in. From day one, Anil's professionalism set the tone for the entire trip. He was always well-prepared, punctual, and clearly prioritised our safety at every stage of the trek — whether it was pacing us correctly for acclimatisation, making smart calls on the trail, or ensuring we were well-rested before the harder days. You could tell this wasn't just a job for him; he genuinely cared about getting us to base camp and back safely. What really impressed me was how calm and composed he remained throughout. That kind of quiet confidence is exactly what you want when you're days into a mountain trek and pushing your limits. I never once felt uncertain about the route or our wellbeing. The trek itself — the rhododendron forests, the mountain villages, the jaw-dropping views of Machapuchare and the Annapurna massif — was breathtaking. But having Anil alongside made it a truly special experience rather than just a physical challenge. If you're considering the ABC trek, book with Anil without hesitation. You're in safe, capable hands.

My EBC trek was an amazing experience! Everything was very well organized, and my female guide Samikshya took great care of me throughout the journey. Even when things didn’t go exactly as planned, she handled every situation very professionally and with a positive attitude. I always felt safe and supported. The company leader Simbir Ghale was always available and found a solution for everything. I highly recommend trekking with her and with the company — a truly great experience!
