Phaplu to Everest Base Camp

Trekking from Phaplu to Everest Base Camp is longer than regular EBC Trek in Nepal via the Lukla route. However, it is a very safe and scenic route to Everest. Moreover, trekkers will get acclimatized gradually to the climate and altitude of the Khumbu region. 

Trekkers can reach Phaplu either by flight or by Jeep drive. The journey of the Trek from Phaplu to Everest Base Camp travels through places like Taksindu and Kharikhola before it reaches Phakding. Trek from Phaplu to Everest Base Camp is free from any kinds of irregularities in terms of Lukla Flight. During regular Everest Base Camp Trekking via Lukla route the weather might play the vital role. In any bad weather, Lukla flight has high degree of cancellation possibilities. However, Phaplu route can be used to avoid such fate. Though the altitude of Phaplu and Lukla is similar trekkers get easily acclimatized as they spend more time within Khumbu region trekking uphill and downhill before reaching Phakding. Once trekkers reach Phakding usual route of EBC Trek takes place. Journey then follows the route of Namche Bazaar. Acclimatization break in Namche Bazaar to takes place before heading towards Tengboche. Places like Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep are trekked past. After Everest Base Camp (5365 m) exploration trekkers hike Kala Patthar (5545 m) for early morning sunrise view. Relish glorious moment of sunray kissing tip of mountains like Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam and many others from Kalapathar. Descend majestically to Lukla again via the same route using Pheriche rest point instead of Dingboche.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu,
Arrive in Kathmandu international airport and meet Himalaya View Treks representative then drive to Thamel, overnight at selected hotel in Kathmandu,

Day 02: Phaplu,
After Breakfast drive by Jeep to Phaplu (10 Hours (2600m) stay overnight at the guest house,

Day 03: Nunthala,
Phaplu to Nunthala (6/7 hour walking (2330m) stay overnight teahouse,

Day 04: Bupsa,
Trek from Nunthala to Bupsa (8 hours walking  (2070m) overnight at the lodge,

Day 05: Chheplu or Phakding,
Bupsa to Chheplung or Phakding (6/7 Hours (2750m) Stay overnight at Teahouse,

Day 06: Namche Bazzar,
Trekking to Namche Bazar (3440m) Via Manju, Jorsalle, Hilary bridge, Top danda which is first Everest viewpoint, to Namche Bazar Walking distance 5/6 hour stay overnight at lodge.

Day 07: Namchebazar: acclimatize day,
hike to Syanbuche which is Viewpoint of Mount Everest have some drinks and explore around the Everest Region Mountain such as Everest (8848m.) Lhotse (8516m.), Amadablam (6812m.), Nuptse (7855m.), Island (6189m.) etc , stay same place overnight at lodge.

Day 08: Tengboche,
Trekking to Tengboche Monastery (3860m) via phunky tanka, Late afternoon explore the enchanting and biggest Buddhist monastery of the area. Walking distance 5/6 hour stay overnight at lodge.

Day 09: Dingboche,
Trekking to Dingboche (4300m) via Dibuche, Somare, to Dingboche check-in room and then have some hot drink to make warm for body and hike around Dingboche Ri for acclimatizing and better sleep at night, Walking distance 5/6 hour stay overnight at lodge.

Day 10: Lobuche,
Trekking to Lobuche (4960m): via Thukla to Lobuche same like pass days we can do little hike surrounding the Lobuche and back to the hotel, Walking distance 5 to 6-hour stay overnight at lodge.

Day 11: Gorekshep,
early morning Trek to Kala-Patthar (5450m) and then Gorekshep (5100m): Kala-Patthar is the most popular tourist destination in the area and able to see more than 40 snow-capped peaks from Kalapather, Best view of Mount Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Pumari, South call, Khumbula peak, etc,  Walking distance 3/4 hour stay overnight at lodge.

Day 12: Everest Basecamp,
Hike to the base camp of Everest (5400m) via Khumbu glacier to Everest base camp, in afternoon explore the Area and base of Mt. Everest, and back to Gokherakshep Walking distance 4/5 hour stay overnight at lodge.

Day 13: Pheruche,
Trek back to Pheriche (4160m) Walking distance5 to 6-hour stay overnight at lodge.

Day 14: Phorche,
Trekking to Phorche village (3700m): this day we can able to see Himalayan Thar, musk deer, Himalayan Danfe etc on the way to Phorche Walking distance 5 to 6-hour stay overnight at lodge.

Day 15: Namche Bazzar,
Trek back to Namche Bazar (3440m) via khumbu village, Hilary school Walking distance 4/5 hour stay overnight at lodge

Day 16: Lukla,
Trek back to Lukla (2840m) Walking distance 5/6 hour stay overnight at lodge.

Day 17: Kathmandu,
Early morning fly back to Kathmandu (35 minutes) and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 18: Your home country,
Departure Day in your home country we will provide Private transport to international Trivuwan airports
