Dhampus Sarangkot family trek near Pokhara is the best for a family vacation, which is short and easy trek designed for children around the Pokhara valley. Sarangkot Dhampus is one of the popular trekking trails of the Annapurna region very close to Pokhara. Those who want short, easy and romantic trekking with their family members including kids this trek is suitable for them.
Dhampus and Sarangkot both places are naturally decorated, unbelievable natural beauty can be seen from these places. During this trek you will walk through the terraced field, lust forest and villages of various ethnic groups of Nepal. During this trekking you will encounter with different species of birds and animals, you will see the beautiful rhododendron forest; you will get the stunning glimpse of the beautiful mountains such as Annapurna, machhapuchhare, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu. Moreover, you will go through the villages of different ethnic people such as Gurung, Magar, Chhetri, and Brahmin where you can experience the diverse culture, customs, and rituals of these ethnic people. Sarankot trek takes three days starting from Phedi and ends near Fewa Lake. From Phedi you will ascend through small forest and continue walk through rice field and reach to Dhampus village.
Dhampus has a typical Gurung village which offer unique Gurung culture and stunning views of beautiful mountains.

From Dhampus you will uphill and downhill with stone steps and reach Naudanda which is another best viewpoint to see the surrounding natural beauty. From Naudanda you will follow the easy of villages and reach Sarangkot. Sarangkot is very beautiful place to see exciting views of beautiful mountains such as Annapurna, Machhapuchhare, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and many more. From Sarangkot you can see the romantic picture of sunrise and sunset. In Sarangkot there is view tower from where along with the views of beautiful mountains mention above Pokhara city with Fewa Lake, Seti River, green hills and World Peace Pagoda are seen.
Sarangkot is also best place for Paragliding so if you interested in this adventurous sport you can take an enjoyment of paragliding there. From Sarangkot you will finally downhill to Pokhara and reach to near the Fewa Lake. If children want long trek in other popular areas of the Annapurna region we will redesign its itinerary as per your kid’s request.
