Kanchenjunga Trekking

Trip Duration
29 Days

Tour overview

Kanchenjunga is the third highest peak in the world height of this mountain (8586m) and is situated on the eastern border of Nepal. So this Kanchenjunga trekking starts from Basantapur and end in Taplejung. The trek offers natural beauty and an unforgettable experience. There is a risk to suffer from High Altitude Sickness (AMS) when crosses over 4000m in height several times. So, one must not hurry up and be careful of AMS. I recommend you keep sufficient necessities stocked with you due to the remoteness of the trek.

North Kanchenjunga base camp trek also has great for those explorers having natural history interest, with ecological zones from the subtropics to the glacial wilderness. Expect close-up views of Kanchenjunga. The trek starts by heading towards the Tamur River past Ghunsa for the north Kanchenjunga Base Camp after flying into Taplejung in a chartered aircraft. There will be optional mountaineering opportunities and is the best option for hikers seeking extended challenge.
